What the Maltese People are up to on the web!

Tonight I was going a bit of research about my site rankings to find that buy4boobs is actually more popular than this blog with the Maltese anyway. Something then occured to me – I wonder what Maltese people do on the web. A few links later I discovered the following:

Facebook is the most popular site for Maltese people – we love to know what everyone is doing so facebook makes it so much easier

Second come our friends Google

Followed by youtube and then other search engine

The wikipedia the source of all references nowadays

The times of malta ranks as the top Maltese owned site on the list

and is followed mainly by ebay, hi5 and other sources of ‘waste your time at work portals’

Gomobile is the second maltese site in the list but is still out beaten by Twitter – just to think a couple of months back I think I was one of the very few Maltese people on Twitter – VIRAL boom!

Bank of Valletta site beats HSBC by about ten spots… so im guessing thats good for me… ‘Dear bov, can I have less interest rates for mention you here?’ Ok cant blame a girl for trying

Of course rapidshare is up there in the top 20 – Piracy? Maltese? We know not what you talk about mighty internet lords, we are an innocent nation!

Ranking in 33rd spot some good old porn site!

The list goes on to mention several betting sites, more social network sites, air malta, melita cable and so on….

So now you know – its not that hard for me to find out what you are doing online! Im watching

My quick click to launch site buy4boobs.com in 3 weeks has raise over 150 euros from my estimates of what I have seen go into the jar. So many items have been sold and so many generous people have donated money to a great cause. The question is now whether or not to keep the site live moving out of the month of October. Unfortunately I just dont have space for the stuff and with people offering to add things to the website it makes me feel guilty saying no – but I have no room What to do?

I know a lot of my readers are curious however a little sceptical about certain tools and applications on the web.

Something that i have been using for quite some time now is Twitter. I use it to get word about about my new blog posts mostly as I know that people arent really interested in my ever single move. That said it is a great way to learn about new things and share them which is what Web 2.0 is essentially about.

The fallen Panties

Sunday is my laundry day! Irrespective of Maltese weather in summer black still remains the predominate colour in my summer wardrobe. Colours and whites separate – but i always have a black load! Anyway i was doing my black load last Sunday and as I was hanging out my laundry it happened. I live in a flat I have a tiny balcony and I have to hang out my laundry on my extendable horse that extends outward over the edge of my balcony over my neighbours yard. Yes of all things to bloody fall my lace knickers!

Knowing my neighbour this was a bloody nightmare.. first of all he is young, second of all most days his father works in his yard! So in desperation to cover them up I drenched a towel and tried to throw it over them in his yard. Yes – I didnt consider the wind. So now fully exposed in my neighbours yard – my knickers and my towel. Brilliant!

So I wrote an apologetic note and slipped it under his door and place a bag under the common area stairs.

AND GUESS what?

Today I got my panties and my towel back! Hopefully wont see my neighbour in a while though!

Cool Signature Gmail

Unfortunately Gmail doesnt support rich text editting in its signature settings. The plain text that it does allow is fine for a simple signature in a personal gmail account but my Gmail at work (Google Apps Premier Edition) was 10 lines long and looking ridiculous. I needed a professional looking signature.

Alas I have just came across this awesome plug in for firefox which helps you easily assign your signature to your emails for both personal or business in the same application. Wisestamp is a handy tool that sits neatly in the bottom corner of your browser window. All you have to do is:

Go to http://wisestamp.com
Download Wisestamp
Restart your browser
Click on the ’stamp’ icon at the bottom of your page
Choose ‘Edit Signature’
Get creative with the editing tools or Search for a template here: http://wisestamp.com/goodies/category/signature-examples/
Copy and paste the Signature style that you like
Toggle between Business and Personal to ammend details and add links to social networks
Apply and OK
The tool is automatically set to embed your signature into your email – however you can change this in your settings.
