Traveller

Where do I start.

I love to travel. If I could this would be my full time job. I love seeing new things, experiencing new places, cultures, food and life in general. When I travel is when Im happiest. I guess it is a form of escapism for me. I get huge inspiration when I travel.

Im not an adventure traveller, I’m not into backpacking and camping under the stars. I like to plan and organise my trips well. I enjoy a bed and shower but it doesn’t have to be a 5 star hotel. I read and research about placing Im going for months before I leave. I create a rough plan but once Im there I don’t always stick to my plans. I use my research to help me feel safer and more familiar with my surroundings. I have yet to travel to Asia or India, however I have travelled to several European countries, America, and Australia. I have a thing for islands and sacred landmarks.

Currently my favourite place on earth is Summer time in Tasmania.

Marseilles, France

February 6, 2012

Marseilles is a great gateway to the south of France. We managed to get cheap ryanair flights from Malta to Marseilles for as little as €9.99. The flight takes two hours and takes you to MP2 in Marseilles airport. From here you can catch a airport bus shuttle to the center of Marseilles for €8.50 [...]

Chez Toinou – Restaurant Marseilles, France

February 6, 2012

The highlight of my time in Marseilles was eating at Chez Toinou. Sitting in a small square off one of the main road and about 50 steps away from tram lines. Uniquely Chez Toinou has a delightful fish market out the front of the restaurant where it displays a delicious array of fresh sea food including all [...]

Malta to New York City

April 8, 2010

After a night dreaming about aliens and ringing necklaces the day of my trip finally arrived. The plan: Sleep really late so I would wake up really late. The actually situation – my phone rang at 10! I woke up grumpy: so a normal morning situation really. I started my errands, running here and there, [...]

Maltese on Planes

March 24, 2009

Whilst recently travelling to Cyprus for a 4 day break I could not help get the urge to write even before I got there… just observing human behaviour was enough to inspire another blog entry. You can spot a novice traveller immediately: gates open, they jump off their chairs and rush to the gate as [...]

Malta in the Press

March 6, 2009

Matt the Frugal Travel’s footage was horrific but his article about Malta does do the country a bit more justice. I think the tone is slightly aggressive when it comes to horse meat and the locality in which he ate the horse meat… maybe ‘fenek’ – rabbit would have been a more representative type of [...]

Malta is NOT about Kinnie and Festas

March 4, 2009

” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowfullscreen=”true” allowscriptaccess=”always” width=”425″ height=”355″> I saw this Video clip about Malta by the NYtimes’s Frugal Traveler and I was mortified…I have never been so insulted in my life and horrified at the level of incompetence shown by this journalist. Now let me tell you why: 1. There is a lot more to Malta [...]
