Unfocused Innovation

I just watched Evan William speak about Twitter on TED and despite my expectation I got a lot more than just some random info about Twitter from this talk. Check it out here: Evan Williams TED talk about Twitter

This talk  made me think about the way I work (Im not speaking only about my job here). I work methodically, carefully, I manage my time and I approach things by prioritisation; this talk made me think about all the times I had ‘great’ ideas and it was certainly during times when I was definitely not ‘suposed’ to be focusing on these ideas.

Often when I used to have an assignment deadline or an exam coming up I would often start to procrastinate. Its nice to imagine that maybe my creativity comes out during procrastination. Simply when I am doing A and I think of B. Its also an interesting thought when I consider had I let my ‘organised model’ go at this point in time maybe all those B’s could have been really great things.

Time for B backtracking
